ORLANDO, Fla. – A routine traffic stop in Orlando quickly escalated on December 8, 2024, when a woman rushed the scene and physically interfered with officers detaining her boyfriend, leading to her own arrest.Bodycam footage released by the Lens Of Law channel captures the moment officers approached a white Chevy Impala with a suspicious temporary tag.

The driver, identified as Mark, was alone in the vehicle. As officers removed him from the car for further investigation, his girlfriend, Kashana, ran toward the scene yelling, “You ain’t got to do him like that!”Despite repeated commands to back up, Kashana continued to approach the officers and pushed one officer’s hand away, according to the footage.
Officers detained her on the spot.“You’re going to get arrested. Back up,” one officer warned multiple times before placing her in custody. She was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer and obstructing the investigation. In a calm post-arrest conversation captured on bodycam, the officer explained to Kashana that she could have stood back, observed, and even recorded the interaction without issue. Instead, her actions turned her into part of the problem.
“I had no problem with you standing right over there and watching the whole thing… But you don’t run at officers,” the officer told her. “Even if you’re emotional, you don’t do that.”The video has drawn attention online as a real-world example of how quickly a concerned bystander can face charges during a police encounter.
