Trump-Aligned Podcasts Say He’s Losing His Coalition Over Broken Promises

Many of the podcasters widely credited with helping secure President Donald Trump’s election win—from Joe Rogan to Theo Von are now warning that broken campaign promises could carry serious political consequences.

Trump’s victory, often described as the “podcast election,” was boosted by appearances on popular longform shows that resonate strongly with young men, a demographic that has increasingly shifted to the right in recent years amid frustration over cultural debates and economic pressures.

However, several of these same influencers who helped rally support for Trump are now expressing concern that his policies in office are disappointing voters or have distanced themselves from him altogether.

In a recent article titled “‘Baffling’: Trump’s podcaster problem runs deep,” Semafor highlighted the growing tension, noting that while Joe Rogan recently hosted a cordial White House visit focused on psychedelic therapy research, broader disagreements persist.

“Even if the White House’s efforts to court Rogan proved successful, Trump has more work to do,” Semafor wrote. “Of the 14 longform ‘bro’ podcasts Trump appeared on during his presidential campaign, eight of the hosts have questioned or criticized the war, while just two have endorsed it.”
